Summary
Aerod may earn a commission when a user follows a paid provider link and signs up, buys a service, or completes another qualifying action. This does not change the price for the user unless the provider states otherwise.
Every paid link is labeled paid link, names the destination merchant, and includes a nearby commission disclosure. Paid links open in the same browser tab.
Redirect structure
Aerod uses clean redirect URLs such as:
/go/provider-slug
Those redirects keep affiliate links maintainable and prevent raw tracking URLs from being scattered across articles. Only exact, checked-in destinations can redirect. Unknown or malformed slugs fail closed, and URL parameters supplied by a visitor cannot replace the destination.
Editorial independence
Affiliate relationships should not require Aerod to recommend a provider. Reviews, comparisons, and provider pages should explain tradeoffs, testing limitations, pricing context, risk callouts, and where a provider may not fit a use case.
A provider may be included because it is relevant to the topic, not because it pays the highest commission.
Affiliate status does not guarantee placement, a favorable verdict, or continued inclusion. Aerod may remove a provider link or change a conclusion when the available evidence, product terms, pricing, or fit changes.
Where provider content belongs
Aerod does not use separate /reviews, /compare, or /providers hubs. Provider reviews and comparisons should live in the appropriate hub:
- Proxy providers and proxy comparisons belong under
/proxies/. - VPN providers and VPN comparisons belong under
/vpn/.
Required disclosure behavior
Pages that include affiliate links include a page-level disclosure and a concise commission disclosure next to each paid link. Individual links use:
rel="sponsored nofollow"
Amazon links, if activated, use this disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Offers, prices, and third-party policies
Provider prices, discounts, availability, and plan terms can change after a page is published. Users should confirm the final price, renewal terms, refund policy, and service limits on the provider's site before purchasing.
Following a provider link leaves Aerod. The provider and any payment service then operate under their own privacy, cookie, account, and billing policies. An affiliate redirect should not be described as an endorsement of those separate practices.
Sponsored content
If Aerod publishes material that is paid for directly rather than compensated only after a qualifying referral, that relationship should be labeled as sponsored content. Payment should not give a sponsor approval over unrelated coverage or permission to remove documented limitations.
